ARTIST STATEMENT
My creations reflect my interest in the
heroic, monumental, solitary figure -
alone and at odds or in harmony with
themselves and/or the world.
With my personal vocabulary of
imaginary figures, I explore the human
spirit and everyone's search for
something. Because
these creations are "every" human being,
they are created through a fusion of
imagery, both male and female and appear
as anthropomorphs or hybrids.
In my art I seek to convey an eloquence
and maturity of expression while
maintaining a sense of mystery.
My goal is to create mysterious
beings that suggest individual
narratives as well as create rich,
energetic, graphic, powerful and
beautiful mixed media artifacts.
