ARTIST STATEMENT

Pages from drawing journals come to life on tiles through Choi's sensuous calligraphic lines.  A native of Seoul, South Korea, drawing is but one of the arts he has mastered.  An adept weaver, Choi skillfully shuttles threads into exquisite wall textiles.  He holds an MFA from the University of California, Davis, and divides his time between Los Angeles and Davis, CA.
