ARTIST’S STATEMENT

With the geometric abstractions, (images on left and right) I endeavor to portray the forces we experience in life and the frameworks in which we interact.  We each bring a unique blend of intellect, emotion, intuition and other capabilities to our world, and despite our differences we experience and contribute to a collective energy, which facilitates constant change.

I paint my vision of our universe in the abstract, the confluence of energy and relationships as a dynamic mixture of motion and structure, interwoven with a natural rhythm and beauty that lends its voice to human pursuits.

 

The seascapes (middle image) are a meditative tribute to the enduring primordial image of sea and sky, and an elegant solution to the challenge of integrating organic and geometric visual elements.  I have endeavored to portray an environment, which straddles the boundaries between imaginary, surreal and representational. As humans, we respond to this powerful composition as one of our earliest collective memories, to which we often return.  This minimalist approach hopefully invites the viewer to populate the painting with objects and characters from the imagination, or to immerse oneself in a peaceful world by diving through this stunning window.
